We are currently looking for a Junior Master Data Steward to support the business in achieving its strategic objectives.

As a Junior Master Data Steward, your key function will be the on-going management of all the master data related to materials (vendor products) that are being used in the company’s applications, used for quoting, invoicing, contract management and service delivery.

What is expect of you to do:

  • Assist with the implementation of policies, processes and procedures with regards to data management.

  • Perform change management for the required data changes and ensure that new data collected and changes to current data are aligned with major business systems.

  • Manage and validate requests for new data or changes to current data and ensure that new materials and relevant changes are reflected accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Liaise with various service units, business units and functions to ensure data alignment.

Here's what we are looking for in candidates for this job:

  • Very good general understanding of IT products (hardware and software).

  • Relevant diploma or degree.

  • A Technical Qualification is advantageous.

  • ITIL certification is would be an advantage.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, lookups and pivot tables.

  • Display excellent attention to detail.

  • Highly motivated to learn and produce results.

  • Possess technical and business documentation writing skills.

  • Ability to quickly acquire good business acumen.

  • Ability to quickly acquire job knowledge and expertise.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of different organisation departments and functions.

  • Display problem analysis and solution formulation skills.

  • Demonstrate learning and service orientation.

  • Display good planning and organising skills.
